Vision Statement
La Voce Della Luna (The Voice Of The Moon) community choir was founded by singer songwriter Kavisha Mazzella in late 1995. The choir's title is inspired after Federico Fellini's final fairy tale like film ' La Voce Della Luna ' starring Roberto Benigni.
The vision statement and artistic goals of La Voce Della Luna are for women of Italian heritage to get together and sing in an atmosphere of friendship, love, respect and celebration, to retain and promote their Italian heritage, culture, arts and traditions through music , stories , song and food .
We not only want to promote our traditions but to also exchange ideas and learn from other ethnic communities .We also have been involved with Human Rights issues such as Refugees and Rights for Women and Reconciliation with Indigenous peoples of Australia .
While we celebrate and honour tradition we also look forward and are also keen to learn new skills and work with artists and writers who are creating new Australian Theatre and Song
